Your day begins with hotel pick up in the early morning. Once you settle into your luxury vehicle, your guide will welcome you with aloha and share a light tropical breakfast to start the day. As we make our way toward Hana, the landscape slowly changes from open coastline to lush rainforest, with flowing streams and waterfalls appearing between the trees.
This tour focuses on spending time in the forest rather than driving the full circle route. When we arrive at the trail, your guide will lead you on a natural path that winds along the valley floor. The air is cool and filled with the scent of tropical plants. Bamboo moves gently in the breeze and water can be heard moving through the rocks. Your guide will point out native plants, share stories about the land, and offer cultural insight into why these valleys are so important to the people of Hawai‘i.
The highlight of the day is reaching a series of waterfalls where you can take photos, enjoy the scenery, or, when conditions are safe, take a refreshing swim in the natural pools. Towels are provided and your guide will always let you know when it is safe to enter the water. These quiet moments at the falls often become the heart of the entire experience.
After the hike, we enjoy a picnic style lunch at a tropical flower farm. Fresh meals and cold drinks are served in a peaceful outdoor setting surrounded by blooming flowers and mountain views. It is a relaxing break and an opportunity to slow down before we begin the drive back.
Throughout the day you will have access to drinks, snacks, and the personal amenities inside your Hawaiian Style backpack. Every detail is prepared so you can enjoy the hike without having to worry about anything else.
By early afternoon we return along the same rainforest route, giving you more time to enjoy the scenery as you settle back into the comfort of your vehicle. We bring you back to your hotel feeling refreshed and grateful for the time spent in one of Maui’s most peaceful and sacred places.
